In love with the culture and ambiance of Asian countries, Gilles Poupard wanted, more than 30 years ago, to share his passion with his home country, France.
He then created his brand PALME in 1981 and distributed his collections from Asia in his many stores on the French Riviera. The success was such that he decided to establish a wholesale company in Paris in 1990 to allow retailers and purchasing centers to sell his unique products. At the same time, he launched his own costume jewelry brand under the name ATOLL. During his numerous travels to India, Indonesia, the Philippines, China, and Nepal, Gilles Poupard built a network of fashion experts known for their attention to detail and craftsmanship.
